Finzat intends to focus initially on the U. S. residential and commercial mortgage market. The existing process, from mortgage application to final disposition involves several steps. The steps are often unnecessarily redundant and contain questionable data security safeguards.

Blockchain Technology

The blockchain is a decentralized ledger of all transactions across a peer-to-peer network. Using this technology , participants can confirm transactions without the need for a central authority.
Potential applications include fund transfers, settling trades, voting and many other uses.

Someone requests a transaction

The requested transaction is a broadcast to P2P network consisting of computers known as nodes.


The network of nodes validates the transaction and the users status using known algorithms.

A verified transaction can involve cryptocurrency, contacts, records or other information.

The transaction is complete.

The new block is then added to the existing blockchain, in a way that is permanent and unalterable.

Once verified, the transaction is combined with other transactions to create a new block of data for the ledger.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Coomaraswamy has been actively involved in the mortgage finance industry for over 20 years as well as having 10 years’ experience in the Telecommunication Engineering sector. He successfully managed a $50B mortgage portfolio for a U S Housing Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE), using proprietary hedging techniques which he developed. Prior experience includes senior positions with Morgan Stanley and G E Capital. He is a Certified Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Risk Manager. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University with a concentration in cryptography.


Senior Advisor

Mr. Pollock previously served as President and CEO of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago from 1991 through 2004. He has been a member of the board at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange since 2004. Since January 2015, he has been the Distinguished Senior Fellow and Director of Financial Systems Studies at the R Street Institute, Washington, DC. He served as Resident Fellow of the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. from 2004 to January 2015. He was previously President and CEO of Community Federal Savings. Mr. Pollock serves on the non-profit boards of Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation and the Great Books Foundation. He previously served on the board of Allied Capital Corp.


Chairman of the Board

Michael Moore is a seasoned investment and risk management professional. He spent fifteen years as a financial executive at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, where he was co-developers of Mortgage Partnership Finance (MPF), a proprietary residential mortgage acquisition, portfolio and securitization program. He was a founding partner of a mortgage investment fund focusing on dislocations in the valuation of the credit component of mortgage securities. He has served as a consultant for a U S Housing Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE), top tier mortgage companies and nationally recognized legal firms providing advice and recommendations on complex mortgage instruments. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University.


Senior Legal Advisor

Prior to joining Finzat, Mr. Williamson was a founding partner with a Chicago based investment fund focused on dislocations and mispricing of the credit risk component of commercial and residential mortgage securities. Mr. Williamson has also held senior positions with JPMorgan Capital Corporation where he was involved with the acquisition of new issue Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities in North America and Canada, as well as serving as the primary liaison with the Federal Home Loan Bank System. Mr. Williamson has extensive experience in asset disposition in both business management and legal oversight roles with the Resolution Trust Corporation and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He also has a background in international business, having served as a consultant to the World Bank in Eastern Europe and as a Senior Financial Advisor to the United States Agency for International Development in Asia.He holds a B.A. from Villanova University and a J.D. from Marquette Law School.


Senior Data Scientist

Dr. Arumugam is an active cryptocurrency trader and market-maker in both the spot and futures markets. He began his career on the US Treasuries market-making desk at PaineWebber now part of UBS, before pursuing a career in academia. Dr. Arumugam is currently an affiliate with the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at Cambridge University, researching the contemporary uses of data science in industry. He was a Mellon Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Chicago researching technologies underpinning the rise of data science, big data, and machine learning. He completed his PhD at Columbia University analyzing the use of technologies to regulate and optimize commercialized contemporary sports. Dr. Arumugam has published and presented papers on the history and culture of probability, financial markets and scientific disciplines.
